Capture Modes

Flare offers three ways to capture your screen, each suited for different use cases.

Full Screen

Captures everything visible on your display.

Best for:

  • Software tutorials
  • Presentations
  • General screencasts

How to use:

  1. Select Full Screen mode
  2. If you have multiple monitors, choose which one to record
  3. Click Record

Window Capture

Records only a specific application window.

Best for:

  • App demos
  • Focused tutorials
  • Clean recordings without desktop clutter

How to use:

  1. Select Window mode
  2. Click on the window you want to record
  3. Click Record

Note: The window must remain visible during recording. Minimizing it will pause capture.

Region Capture

Select any rectangular area of your screen.

Best for:

  • Highlighting specific parts of your screen
  • Recording a portion of a large display
  • Privacy-conscious recording

How to use:

  1. Select Region mode
  2. Click and drag to define the capture area
  3. Adjust the selection if needed
  4. Click Record
