Capture Modes
Flare offers three ways to capture your screen, each suited for different use cases.
Full Screen
Captures everything visible on your display.
Best for:
- Software tutorials
- Presentations
- General screencasts
How to use:
- Select Full Screen mode
- If you have multiple monitors, choose which one to record
- Click Record
Window Capture
Records only a specific application window.
Best for:
- App demos
- Focused tutorials
- Clean recordings without desktop clutter
How to use:
- Select Window mode
- Click on the window you want to record
- Click Record
Note: The window must remain visible during recording. Minimizing it will pause capture.
Region Capture
Select any rectangular area of your screen.
Best for:
- Highlighting specific parts of your screen
- Recording a portion of a large display
- Privacy-conscious recording
How to use:
- Select Region mode
- Click and drag to define the capture area
- Adjust the selection if needed
- Click Record
Resolution settings
Control the output resolution:

Frame rate
