Get Flare up and running on your Mac in minutes.

System requirements

Before downloading, make sure your Mac meets these requirements:

Download Flare

1. Visit flare.link
2. Click the Download button
3. The DMG file will download to your Downloads folder

Install the app

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
2. Drag Flare to your Applications folder
3. Eject the DMG from your desktop or Finder sidebar

First launch

When you first open Flare, macOS will ask for permissions:

Screen Recording

Required to capture your screen content.

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording → Enable Flare

Microphone

Required to record audio from your microphone.

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Enable Flare

Camera

Required for webcam overlay.

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Enable Flare

Sign in

After granting permissions:

1. Click Sign In or Create Account
2. Enter your credentials
3. You're ready to record!

Troubleshooting

App won't open?

Right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper on first launch.

Permissions not working?

Try removing Flare from the permissions list and re-adding it, then restart the app.
