The Flare editor gives you powerful tools to perfect your videos.
Editor layout
Preview area
The main view where you watch your video:
- Real-time preview of all edits
- Full-screen mode available
- Shows camera overlay positioning
Timeline
The horizontal bar at the bottom:
- Visual representation of your video
- Drag to navigate through the video
- Shows audio waveform
- Displays edit points and cuts
Sidebar
Tools panel on the right:
- Camera — Adjust overlay position and style
- Audio — Volume and audio settings
- Canvas — Background and layout options
- Subtitles — Caption controls
Control bar
Playback controls above the timeline:
- Play/pause
- Skip forward/backward
- Current time / total duration
- Zoom controls

Non-destructive editing
All edits in Flare are non-destructive:
- Your original recording is never modified
- Edits can be undone at any time
- Export creates a new file with your changes
Auto-save
Changes are saved automatically as you work. You can close the editor and return later—your edits will be preserved.
